With all the self-centered ego among the residents of Port Charles, it's a wonder how any of them have built genuine relationships with anyone other than their own reflections. No one seems to be aware of cause and effect. Everyone plays the blame game, rarely, if ever, looking at how their actions play a role in their personal problems. Everyone is always right; everyone else is obviously wrong.
At the center of it all is Sonny Corinthos. Everyone wants to get back at him for one reason or another, but of course they're all crazy in his eyes. Never does he see how his lifestyle influences the people around him, let alone his own children. He's got a faithful devotee in Michael, who is now happily home from prison, but unable to spend time with his father per the ruling by the judge who wants Michael to have a real chance in life. Fat chance there: He's the son of a gangster and wants to follow in his father's footsteps. But for now, Michael is surprisingly listening to the judge and telling daddy to stay away. Probably because he doesn't want to risk going back to jail and getting his pretty blonde hair tousled in the shower.
Luckily, Sonny is too busy with other things to bother much with Michael this week. After all, his daughter is "dating" Johnny and something must be done! Why anyone believes that someone would willingly spend time with whiny, delusional Kristina is beyond me...though I can see that she's so busy stomping her feet or crying to get her way, it's probably pretty easy to just give in to her whims to shut her up. She wants daddy to go down and lose everything, so she is pretending to lose her innocence to a guy nearly twice her age to make it all happen. Lucky for her, Johnny doesn't mind looking like a pedophile if it means driving Sonny crazy.
Naturally, Sonny orders a hit on Johnny. To cover his bases, Sonny orders Max and Milo to make it look like another mob family is at fault, and orchestrate it at a distance so it's not tied to Sonny. Furthermore, Sonny is going to take measures to ensure Johnny's father Anthony can't take revenge, that Kristina won't be around to get hurt, and that Luke's son Ethan doesn't get dragged into the mix. I'm thinking not everything is going to go according to plan.
Elsewhere in Port Charles:
= With Tracy taking over the Haunted Star and cutting him off, Luke is forced to move in with Lucky. But he is not done trying to win Tracy back, unable to understand that her anger over their sham of a marriage is true and valid. In his mind, the love was real so he goes over to the Quartermaine mansion to pour out his heart (as much as he can) and beg her to take him back. She has him arrested for trespassing instead.
- Robin is still out of town, leaving Patrick with no one to pay attention to him or call him out on his arrogance. Least of all Lisa, who has turned her attention towards Dr. Weber, much to Patrick's chagrin. Patrick demonstrates his passive-aggressive jealousy by overreacting to an argument about surgery and punching Dr. Weber in the face. Now suspended, Patrick has nothing to do but sulk in the unfairness of it all while Lisa soaks up all the attention. But lady must love the drama because she offers to help Patrick to get his suspension lifted by talking to Dr. Weber directly, only to turn around and tell the chief that he did the right thing. Not sure what game she's playing, but I'm pretty sure it will take place in Patrick's pants.
- Jason has nearly every citizen of Port Charles visit him in jail. First, there's Sam pretending to be his ex-wife Brenda so they can do the nasty; followed by Alexis who needs Jason to talk to Johnny and convince him to leave Kristina alone; then there's Maxie, who insists that Jason protect her from Franco. Jason gives her a "kinda difficult to do from jail and I have bigger problems, duh" look, but it seems Dante and the federal prosecutor have similar ideas. Franco is sending crime scene photos to the people in Jason's life and since a showdown with Jason is ultimately what Franco wants, Dante hatches a plan to get Jason out of jail so he can be used as bait. Problem is, Jason will be released into Dante's custody, who will be charged with aiding and abetting if Jason decides to run. Perhaps what the PCPD should look in to, is why anyone continues to listen to Dante - his ability to get or keep anyone is jail is equal to his use of the Flowbee to get that shaggy bowl of a haircut. Not good.
